30-Day Giving Challenge 2020 - Week 4

"For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am thankful this year to be able to take time to focus on being grateful. I'm also enjoying being able to purposefully focus on giving to others. Here are some of the opportunities I had this past week.

Tuesday - donated to Women’s Prison Book Distribution
Wednesday - wrote a note of encouragement to a friend
Thursday - spent time catching up with a friend
Friday - played piano over Skype for residents at a local hospice center
Saturday - wrote another note of encouragement to a friend
Sunday - wrote another note of encouragement to yet another friend
Monday - sent cards to St. Jude’s

What opportunities have you had to give? I know some of my opportunities have been rather repetitive (especially this week). However, with the restrictions in my state regarding social interactions because of the coronavirus, I have been somewhat limited this year in what I have been able to do. If you need some ideas, check out this Pinterest board.

30-Day Giving Challenge 2020

Since 2010 (!), I have participated in the 30-Day Giving Challenge during the month of November. The premise is rather simple: each day of November be a blessing to those around you by giving each day. Since my fall has been rather busy and since this year is like no other, I've taken the time to plan out my giving for this year. I enjoy this part of my year, and I'm excited to see what happens during November.

I have put together a Pinterest board with some of my ideas. Check it out here if you'd like to see some of my plans.

As in the past, I will be blogging about my experience.

Also, I will be participating in the challenge by trying to make each of my "giving" acts anonymous. And thus, my posts might at times be a bit vague in order to keep things anonymous.

Come join me in the adventure!
