Take Time to Be Holy

Take time to be holy,
Speak oft with thy Lord;
Abide in Him always,
And feed on His Word.
Make friends of God's children;
Help those who are weak;
Forgetting in nothing
His blessing to seek.

Take time to be holy,
The world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret
With Jesus alone;
By looking to Jesus,
Like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends in thy conduct
His likeness shall see.

Take time to be holy,
Let Him be thy Guide,
And run not before Him,
Whatever betide;
In joy or in sorrow,
Still follow thy Lord,
And, looking to Jesus,
Still trust in His Word.

Take time to be holy,
Be calm in thy soul;
Each thought and each motive
Beneath His control;
Thus led by His Spirit
To fountains of love,
Thou soon shalt be fitted
For service above.

Fairest Lord Jesus

Fairest Lord Jesus! Ruler of all nature!
O Thou of God and man the Son!
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,
Thou, my soul's glory, joy, and crown!

Fair are the meadows, Fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring:
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer,
Who makes the woeful heart to sing.

Fair is the sunshine, Fairer still the moonlight,
And all the twinkling starry host:
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer,
Than all the angels heav'n can boast.

Beautiful Saviour! Lord of the nations!
Son of God and Son of Man!
Glory and honor, Praise, adoration,
Now and forevermore be Thine!

Lord, Ignite Your Fire

Lord, ignite Your fire in my heart.
May it burn brightly, Lord for You.
What I am and what I have, may all be Yours.
Securely hold me in Your hands.

Fountain of life and fountain of joy,
You bring light to the darkness of my soul.
You hear my prayers, You help in every need,
Jesus, my Savior, my Lord, and my God.

When Satan threatens You want to protect me,
You are the Savior, Lord, from sin and death.
In the darkness of the world, shine like a star.
Lord, abide with me, please be never far.

God's eternal light will soon shine for us.
Rejoice, my soul, and despair not.
Let laments cease, at the sound of song,
Joyful faith: our Lord comes soon!
