God Saves the Crushed in Spirit

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18, ESV)

Our God is not a devious God, plotting to harm and manipulate His creation.
Our God is not a careless God, absentmindedly allowing evil to take place.
Our God is not an uncaring God, turning a blind eye to injustice and a deaf ear to those in anguish.

Our God is a loving and caring God. He sees our afflictions and our anguish. He sees our discouragement, our grief, our sadness.
Our God delivers us from our afflictions. He reminds us to find our satisfaction in Him and Him alone.
Our God is near us. He comforts us. He sustains us. He reminds us that He has loved us with an everlasting love. He reminds us that we can draw near to Him.
In times of turmoil and trouble, look up. Remember God. He is near you. He loves you. He cares for you. He will sustain and comfort you.
