Bible Verse Graphics

I've been designing some Bible verses graphics for my church and would like to share them here. Feel free to use them for personal use. If you post them on social media, please give me a shoutout! I'll be adding more in the weeks and months to come, so feel free to bookmark this link.

I have collected all of them in this photo album.

30-Day Giving Challenge 2023

Since 2010 (!), I have participated in the 30-Day Giving Challenge during the month of November. The premise is rather simple: each day of November be a blessing to those around you by giving each day. As I have done each year, I've already taken time to plan out my giving for this year. However, I’m also remaining open to new opportunities that might arise this November. I enjoy this part of my year, and I'm excited to see what happens during this coming month.

I have put together a Pinterest board with some of my ideas. Check it out here if you'd like to see some of my plans.

As in the past, I will be blogging about my experience.

Also, I will be participating in the challenge by trying to make each of my "giving" acts as anonymous as possible. And thus, my posts might at times be a bit vague in order to keep things anonymous.

Come join me in the adventure!

God is Patient

"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." - 2 Peter 3:9

God is patient. God desires all to come to repentance. He makes the offer available to all. John points this out in what is arguably the most famous verse in the Bible, John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Not only is God patient, He is also faithful to His promises. He is gracious. He is also deliberate, not haphazard. His love towards us is persistent. However, He also has given us the choice to follow Him or not. He has not made us as pre-programmed robots. We have the choice to choose Him or not.

What can we conclude about God and how He interacts with us?
1. God knows everything.
2. Human beings have choices.
3. God draws human beings to Himself.
4. Salvation is by grace through faith.

Unto the Hills

Unto the hills we lift our longing eyes beyond the skies.
From where, for us, shall our salvation come? Who hears our cries?
From our Creator shall come our certain aid.
Our help is from our God, by whom all things are made.
Unto the hills we lift our longing eyes, unto the hills.

Jehovah God will keep us through the years. God knows our tears.
God is our shade, protecting every dream. God calms our fears.
We will not fear the sun. In faith we live each day
and through the silent night, God’s candle shows the way.
Unto the hills we lift our longing eyes, unto the hills.

From every evil God will keep our lives.
God will preserve our going out and coming in. God will guard our lives.
Above the angels watch with careful gaze.
God is our refuge, God is our refuge and our strength.
Unto the hills we lift our longing eyes.

From where, for us, shall our salvation come? Who will hear us?
From our Creator, shall come our certain aid.
Our help is from our God, by whom all things are made.
Unto the hills we lift our longing eyes, unto the hills.
